As we learn more about the brain, the nervous system, and the body, we develop an understanding of the importance of involving the body when treating our clients with EMDR therapy. In this interview with Rotem Brayer, Patrick Weeg explains how to integrate somatic psychotherapy with EMDR therapy.
Patrick Weeg is an EMDR therapist from Denver, Colorado, where he is a faculty member of the Sensorimotor Psychotherapy Institute, which focuses on body-centered talk-therapy for healing from trauma and attachment wounds. He is also an adjunct faculty member at the University of Denver’s Graduate School of Social Work and is co-owner of the Denver Center for Integrated Counseling, where he focuses on in-depth work with adults.
