About the Speakers

Peggy Kolodny

Co-Editor, EMDR and Creative Arts Therapies

Peggy Kolodny MA ATR-BC LCPAT, is a Board Certified, Registered and Licensed Art Therapist with level 2 certificates in EMDR and in Internal family Systems (IFS). Specializing in integrative trauma treatment across the lifespan for past 40 years, she is the founder of The Art Therapy Collective of Owings Mills, Maryland. Currently, Peggy is adjunct faculty with George Washington University’s Art Therapy Graduate Program as well as multiple professional training faculties of Chesapeake Beach Play Therapy Seminars; The Ferentz Institute (Trauma 2 faculty); and The Expressive Therapies Summits. She is on the Board of the Maryland Art Therapy Association and is their current delegate to the American Art Therapy Association. Peggy is the current Chair of ISSTD’s Creative Arts Therapies Special Interest Group. Past faculties include University of Maryland School of Social Work, Goucher College, and Maryland Institute, College of Art. Recent publications included chapters in Art Therapy in the Treatment of Addictions and Trauma (Quinn, 2021) and an upcoming chapter in “EMDR and Creative Arts Therapies” (Davis et al, In press 2022).

Elizabeth Davis

Co-Editor, EMDR and Creative Arts Therapies

Elizabeth Davis, MFA, MS, ATR-BC, LCAT is a board certified, state licensed art therapist with over 20 years’ experience working in the field of creative arts therapy and trauma. Her approach integrates the modalities of Art Therapy, EMDR Therapy, Sensorimotor Psychotherapy, IFS, and Play Therapy. Elizabeth is EMDR consultant/trainer through EMDRIA, level one in Sensorimotor Psychotherapy, and level two in Internal Family Systems. Elizabeth has conducted dozens of workshops, including at the EMDR International Association, and International Society for the Study of Trauma and Dissociation. She is an author and editor including in the upcoming book, Creative Arts Therapies and EMDR to be released by Routledge/Taylor & Francis in November of 2022

Sherri Jacobs

Co-Editor, EMDR and Creative Arts Therapies

Sherri Jacobs is a LCMFT, registered art therapist and mediator. She is founder of Heartland Art Therapy in Kansas City. Sherri has worked as a therapist for 25 years in a variety of settings, is a former college instructor, founder of TEDxOverland Park, and is involved in various civic activity in her community.
