Occupational Therapy: A Sensory Pathway to EMDR with Heather Dunlap
February 12, 2026 @ 12:00 pm – 1:00 pm MST

Are you ready to enhance your EMDR practice using foundational sensory knowledge?
Occupational Therapy brings a practical, body-centered approach to supporting clients in daily life, especially when sensory and regulation challenges are involved. Join us learn more about Occupational Therapy in our upcoming presentation with Heather Dunlap on “The Evolution of Occupational Therapy in Mental Health and Sensory Pathways for EMDR” this coming February 12th. Heather is a licensed occupational therapist and licensed professional counselor who blends OT and counseling to help children and families dealing with developmental delays, sensory processing disorders, and difficulty with focus, emotions, and overwhelm. Heather will discuss and provide an introduction to Occupational Therapy, explaining what OTs do and giving a history of OT and mental health. You will learn about the development of foundational sensory systems, regulation through the senses, and the importance of bilateral integration. Most importantly, she will connect this knowledge to show how to incorporate it to enhance EMDR.
Don’t miss this opportunity to learn valuable strategies, including when to refer to an OT. Join Heather and mark your calendars for February 12th! 🙂🗓️
