Focus on advanced reprocessing: Learn target selection strategies, techniques for managing distress, navigating attachment wounds, addressing complex grief, and finding individual memories when trauma was daily.
The final session concentrates on strategies for effective reprocessing and resolution with clients who have experienced daily or severe trauma. We will discuss Where to Start, Strategies to Manage Distress, and identify Where Clients Get Stuck during reprocessing. Advanced topics include Navigating Attachment Wounds, Resolving Targets, Grief, and practical Strategies for Finding Individual Memories when Trauma Was Daily, emphasizing The Importance of Phase Eight. By the end of this session, which covers pages 103-172, participants will be able to list and describe at least three strategies that can assist clients in the reprocessing phases to clear targets with less risk of client decompensation and increased probability of memory resolution. The session also includes a description of what is complicated about complex grief with clients with complex trauma.
