Book Club Session 2 of 3: EMDR for Anger Management – SAFE Approach with Deborah Kennard
August 27 @ 11:00 am – 12:00 pm MDT

Cultivating Readiness for Change: The Answer, Motivation, and Responsibility in EMDR
This book club series will support EMDR therapists in working skillfully with anger by engaging the concepts and practices from EMDR for Anger Management. Through discussion and experiential learning, participants will explore the SAFE approach and how mindful awareness, nonviolence, and compassionate assumptions can support stabilization, connection, and effective reprocessing within the EMDR 8-phase protocol.
Join us for Session 2 of the series, where we focus on The Answer, Motivation for Change, and Radical Responsibility. This session explores how helping clients identify The Answer can strengthen internal orientation and readiness for reprocessing. We’ll discuss how motivation for change emerges without force, examine radical responsibility as a stabilizing and empowering stance, and consider how these concepts support clinical work in preparation phases and beyond.
This three-part series is approved for 3 EMDRIA Credits. Attend all four sessions and earn the credits.
